The Sound Blossoms is a kinetic sound sculpture that merges mechanical movement with material resonance. At its core, the work is driven by a pre-composed musical score, translated through a resonance control system that activates metal sound tubes at specific frequencies. Rather than relying on loudspeakers, the sounds are physically generated through the vibration of material itself — allowing the objects to “speak” through their own inherent acoustic properties. Each tone emerges from real-world resonance, not digital playback. The resulting sound waves unfold organically within the surrounding environment, sustained and shaped through the subtle integration of programming and mechanical motion. The work seeks to awaken the latent voice of matter. Along the riverside, these resonant frequencies gather and unfold — like a flower blooming in sound.
